Store Bought Pets
Have you ever bough and or looked at an animal in pet stores?
Im sure you though that they were cute and thought that since they were in a pet store they were being taken good care of.  However, its just the opposite.  Pet stores get their puppies, for example, from puppy mills.  


Puppy Mills 
-the animals are kept in bad conditions 
-they are exposed to diseases, like pneumonia and upper respiratory infection
-their eyes get ulcers and their jaws rot due to tooth decay
-the animals are kept in small metal cages, very rarely let out,and forced to stay in their own filth
-dogs get caught in cages and they break their feet trying to get free
-when females cant reproduce anymore they are bashed in the head with a stick or shot
-in one investigation of a puppy mill there were bones and dead bodies found lying around
-dogs are sometimes de-barked, meaning that they have metal poles shoved down their throats so they cant bark




The people in puppy make money and dont tend to spend it.  They sell the animals and collect that money but they dont buy the animals proper shelter, food or veterinary help. In one investigation of a puppy mill people found dead bodies and bones lying all around.


When people buy pets from pet stores they often die soon after, there have been many cases when the pet was taken to the vet right after being bought, but there was nothing the doctor could do.


So dont buy pets from pet stores unless you are certain they were treated properly, help put puppy mills to an end

My Pitch for my book

My book is called The Diffrence. This book is about a girl named Nawal and her family who lived in India. THe beggining of the book took place in India but the in the middle the setting is in New York. Nawal is a 8 year old girl who's best friend is MJ. Nawal's sister is Casal and her parents are Mr. and Ms.Wasif. They all end up moving to America since Mr.Wasif is offered a job at the Apple company.
When they move to America Mr.Wasif dosnt get the job and is forced to get a new one. Casal's attitude changed completly. When her attitude changed the whole family died, mentaly and emotionaly. The book is in third person and MJ is the narator of the story and the whole story is written by the words of Nawal.
I am a good person to make this book because this book is actualy parcially about one of my best friends so I can give specific facts in my story about india and moving.


My book is called "The Diffrence". It about the Wasif family who lives in India. THe story is in the present time and takes place in Indian. The setting changes when the family moves due to a better job offer from the Apple Company. The family moves but Nawal dosent want to. she leaves her diary with her best friend (MJ). Casal(Nawal's little sister) is perfectly fine with moving but changes the most. She ends up moving away. I cant tell you the ending to my story but I will tell you that MJ finally relizes the

The Diffrence chapter 1

The beggining

Drip,drip,drip,splash,dip....dip....dip. Nawal wakes up t oa nother rainey morning in India., Her hands and feet are slightly cold but for some reason she enjoyed it. She put on her slipers and skids across the hall to her sister Casal's room.
Casal was snoring with her TV on Lilo and Stich. Nawal slowly walks over to Casla's bunk bed and turns on the lamp. Both girls are used to this ruitine but Casla roles over and turns off the lamp. Nawal laughs quietly and said" you asked for it",she slowley and softly pulls back the sheets and zerberts Casal on the stomache. Casal tries to get Nawal but she is already in her room getting dressed.
Beep,beep,beep, Nawal has succesfully done her job of waking up Casal before 6:45. Casal is not mad, or sad, but calm.
Two doors down the hall are Mr.Wasif and Ms.Wasif. Ms.Wasif gets up and makes lunch for the girls. she puts rice, carrots and milk in two identcal bags that have a famous bollywood dancer on it.
Nawal and Casal race down to hall in their favorite jeans,red monkey shirts,ans white sweaters. No one knows why they always match). The girls put there lunch in their identical book bags and fight over the remote.
Mr.Wasif comes walking down the hall and half dressed (his tie is only wrapped around his neck, his shirt is only half buttoned, his pants were slacking down from the lack of a belt and only his sox were on his feet) talkig on the phone. He looked shocked but foccused. Nawal quickely runs down the hall to her room and writes the new way of getting Casla up and every thing else that happened this morning in her diary. She packs her bag putting her diary in a secret compartment. Her father wispered something to Ms.Wasif and she was stunned. She walks over to Nawal and Casal and tells them to make this day the best day of school but doant give a reason. Nawal is out the door and meets MJ, he rbest friend.
Casal is eating breakfast and spilling it all over the remote. MJ and Nawal walked down the damp road and Casal tried to catch up with them.
Nawla imediatly tells MJ about the new way of waking up Casal. MJ says "why do you torture your sister every morning?" Nawal was stunned and didnt know what to say"I....its,i dont torture her, its my job to wake her up."Well, when my mom has he baby I will do nothing to harm it!"said MJ. "Well it would just be a little baby Nawal said,of course you wouldnt harm it." Casal and I have grown up together...we're like best friends but we're blood related."
Nawal quickely changed the subject. "So is today the day you tell me what MJ stands for?" "No" MJ quickely responds.
For the rest of the walk to school both girls are silent. Finally the silence is broken when they enter the school and MJ says "so since Casal is your best friend,that who am I?" Before Nawal could answer MJ said "yah,sure, whatever, I dont even want to be your friendanymore." Nawal stood there silently with out motion and then said "Whats up with you today,is something wrong or.....be quiet Nawal!" MJ said." You know whats wrong "no i dont!" MJ started talking to other kids in the hall way and then Nawal said "I just figured out what MJ stands for, Misrable Jerk"
MJ turned around and said I cant belive you just said that to me, now the only memorie I will have of you will be how stupid,annoying and mean you are." Mj ripped off the friendship braclet Nawal gave her mamny years ago,puts it on the groung, and kicks it to Nawal. Nawal steps into Mr.O'briens room and tries to hold back her tears. It was the beggining of the day and Nawal had already made it the worst school day of all. She then hoped what her mom said wasnt for a good reason.
WHen school got out Nawla had an apology note she was going to put into MJ's locker but Casal ran down the hall to Nawal and told her that their parents told them to come home imediatly. Thinking Nawal could give MJ the note latter Nawal followed. When they got home they saw all of their pictures down and most of their decoration were gone. Ms.Wasif walked down the hall waring wirn out clothes filled with sweat and said"I hope you two had a wonderfull day of school because that is the last time you will be going there." (She was smiling but both girls were not.) Then she said" We are going to move!"

In the book Role of thunder hear my cry there is a family that has has enough of segragation . The members of the Logan family are going through some majors problems. Due to their race,most of the people in the familt arent scared to challenge their issues ...even if it menas sticking up for what they belive in.This family will help each other and other people with the same issues.
This famiyhas major issues .This involves getting plashed with dirty water,having to wait in line even if they were there before a white person,getting worn out suplies and having certain boundries.The main charectors if this story are Cassie,big ma,daddt,mamma,little man,Stacey and christopher john.All of these charectors are apart of the same family and each day Cassie,mamma,Stacey,and Little man go t o school.All of the children and the mother (which is also a teacher at the school) walk to school they have learned that when they get close to school they have to watch out for the bus driver of the ywhitre kids.

my opinion on Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry

I dont like the life of the logans.I dont like the way they live what they face each day and the time that they live.I would defonatly now like spending a day like them.
I dont like the way that the Logans live because they live in the time where slavery just ended.I wouldnt be able to over come the problems they face daily,I would probably react the same way as a girl named Cassie,but I woulnd be as vilent.Cassie got pushed off the road by a other (white) girl named mis lillian jean and she decided to get revenge.Cassie pretended to respect mis lillian jean and one day mis lillian belived Cassie so much she told Cassie one of her secrets.Later Cassie took Lillian into a forest and punched her.She had it all planned.
